Who was more scared?

We had been wondering who/what was eating some rather rare plants in my garden so I set  up a trail camera to follow their shenanigans.  See the bump on the tree to the right even with the wall. We thought it might be a varmint that came up the canale drains, thus the wire and pin wheels.

But, wait.....

As I went out the garden door to check the camera I was startled by a loud thump and a full grown Bobcat racing past me as I rounded the corner! I do think that this particular cat is semi-civilized because as I said how adorable it was it stopped and looked back at me. Then sauntered to the wall by the red tree, leaped up and sat down, looking back as I talked to it, all the time wagging it's tail. We had a one sided conversation for about 90 seconds and then it went on down the driveway to annoy the neighbor dogs. Talk about thrilling! Am so glad that we have real animals in our midst.
